Activism : a brake on real relationships !

Ephesians 5:16 - Redeem the time, for the days are bad.

We are in a society where everything seems to go quickly and in which the individual as a person is very little considered, even despised. The valuation too often passing by "doing" and not "being". In the Church, unfortunately, it is often the same. Thus, the relational is distorted.

The internet and social networks have also become essential instruments. Extremely fast means of obtaining information, transmitting information... which is, let's face it, very practical. However, our doing, which we would call “overbooking” in today's language, prevents us from being and also having a real relationship. A click, a small comment, avoids us having a more important and committed contact, our schedule being too busy. We are often in a frantic race and sometimes, it is important to settle down and review the real priorities.

A man of God one day found himself very sick and he did not understand what was happening to him. At night, in the hospital, he would say to God : "But what is going on, I did this for you, and this, and again this...", his life was based on doing it. He explained to us that for the Lord, it was all zero. God looks to the heart, not to our performance however good and excellent it may be.

Maybe today is the time for you to stop, to review your priorities and to live a real relationship.
