Express your love... now !

“The commandment that we must live... let us love one another...” 2 John 1.6

Every morning we should pray like this : “Lord, whatever my other activities are, help me today to love You and to love others, for this is the commandment You want us to live by.” If you obey this command you will treat those around you with more compassion, and they will notice. You will begin to gain ground where you lost. The more time you give someone, the more you show them how valuable they are to you. It is not enough to tell people that they are important to you. You have to prove it by investing in their lives. The best way to spell love is T-E-M-P-S. Love is not the idea you have or the emotion you feel towards others but rather the degree of commitment you are ready to make in their favor. Men especially have a hard time with it. They say : “I don't understand my wife and children. I supply all their needs, what more do they want ?” It's you they want ! It's your attention they want ! True love is so focused on the other, that it forgets itself. This kind of attention means : “You are so valuable to me, that I give you my most precious asset : my time.” Why is now the best time to express your love ? Because you don't know how much longer you'll have to do it. Circumstances change, people die and children grow up. In truth, we do not know what our tomorrows hold for us. If you want to express your love, you better do it right now. Who should you spend more time with ? What do you need to cut from your schedule to make this happen ? The best way to use the cycle of life is love, the best expression of love is time and the best time to love is the present moment.
