    Funny birds !

Matthew 6.26 – Look at the birds of the air : they neither sow nor reap, nor gather anything into barns ; and your Heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth much more than them ?

In our old home, we liked to throw bread to the birds in our garden. We didn't put it in every day and our garden was not very visible because it was surrounded by a fence. However, when we put some, the birds were not long in coming in mass, and our bread disappeared very quickly.

A thought came to me : but how do they know that there is bread ? I began to imagine that they were praying to the Lord like : “Heavenly Father, where did You put our food supply for today ?". I don't think it's that "stupid". One thing is certain, they do not worry and probably their trust in God is beyond doubt.

Perhaps also that one of them sees the bread offered and stirs up the "crowd" ! With a song that only birds can understand, it attracts the attention of all its congeners. This image is perhaps even more beautiful. Here he finds a “treasure of blessings” and is eager to share it with others.

Either way, the Lord encourages us to learn a lesson from the attitude of the birds. His words resonate within us : “Don’t worry !". It's true, if God takes care of the welfare of the birds, don't you think He cares about our welfare ? I come to the obvious conclusion that it's ridiculous to get all worked up out of worry ! It does absolutely nothing for me, except to make me sick.

It's decided, in front of the next invoice I will say to my Heavenly Father : "Dad, where is the provision that You have set aside to honor this big invoice ?".

    Good reflection.
