I need a miracle !

Matthew 16.4 (Word of Life) - People today are wicked and unfaithful to God. They ask for a miracle. But people will see one miracle : what happened to the prophet Jonah. Then Jesus leaves them and goes away.

We are among those who have seen the glory of God manifest in power ! Healings, deliverances, manifestations of the Spirit... it was heaven on earth. However, in these days, the Lord challenges us with one or two simple yet essential questions : “What has changed in the lives of these people ? Has knowledge of God and love for God increased ?".

We must make the sad observation that the more gatherings, miracle evenings and events of all kinds are organized, the more the people of God become insensitive to the Word of God and to the true prophetic voice ! Many Christians have become evil in the eyes of God, they are unfaithful to their first love and to their "vows" towards their Lord. They are restless looking for the right excuse to take a dose of spiritual euphoria, it doesn't matter if it is not biblically supported, as long as it is spectacular with all the "trembling".

This Word of Jesus in our base verse is strong ! God will only grant this generation the miracle of Jonah. Make no mistake, this miracle is not insignificant but it is of extraordinary power because it is that of the cross and the resurrection and as 1 Corinthians 1.18 says : "For the preaching of the cross is folly for those who perish ; but to us who are saved it is a power of God”. The cross to die to self and the resurrection to enter into this whole new abundant life that God promises us. No death, no resurrection !

Clearly, my beloved ones, no longer look for gifts but for the Donor. Cling to God, seek Him, return with thirst and hunger to the Word of God which is the Bible because that is where you will find Him. Root yourself in it !

Do you desire success ? listen to this advice given to Joshua : “Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth ; meditate on it day and night, to act faithfully according to all that is written therein ; for then you will be successful in your endeavors, then you will be successful” (Joshua 1:8). Do you want to live fully free in the freedom of the Spirit ? listen to this Word of the Lord : “If you abide in MY WORD, you are truly my disciples ; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31 and 32). Want to experience the miracle ? Say with Peter : “At YOUR WORD I will let down the net” (Luke 5.5) and you will see the glory of God because God watches over His Word to do it (Jeremiah 1.12). However, God will not answer "magic formulas" but only the Word which has obtained the seal of the Holy Spirit by a conviction that this Word is good for us.
