Have faith in God. Mark 11. 22

Let your faith not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2.5

Lord, if you want, you can !

"Jesus was in one of the cities ; and behold, a man covered with leprosy, having seen him, fell on his face, and prayed to him this prayer : Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said : "I want him to be clean. Immediately the leprosy left him" (Luke 15:12,13).

This man covered with leprosy knows that he has an incurable disease, and he has neither a cure nor a doctor. He recognized in Jesus the one who alone can heal him and for whom nothing is impossible. Jesus' answer is immediate : "I will, be pure".

It is the image of every man who recognizes his state of sinner before God, without the possibility of being delivered from it by his own means.

So let's go to Jesus, to the one who suffered in our place the righteous judgment of God against sin. Let us, each one, simply place our trust in him and in his sacrifice accomplished on the cross. The grace of God is acquired by me, God can declare me pure, purified, right before him.

This leper said : "If you want, you can". He knew that God had the power to heal him, but did Jesus want to heal him ? Yes, Jesus loved him, and shows it by the miracle he immediately performs. No reproach, love always responds to faith, even if it is hesitant, ignorant or sometimes mixed with doubts.

And for us Christians, who have perhaps acquired knowledge by studying the Word of God, don't we often lack the faith to believe that the Lord wants to bless us ?
