Make you want !

Ezekiel 36.20 - Now in all the nations where they have been, the name which I bear has been dishonored by their fault...

We do not know about you, but we are sorry for the constant rise of apostasy which manifests itself in the rejection of God, the Lord Jesus and the faith in our society. We could blame the growing wickedness of human beings, but is there not a part of the answer in our verse ?

The Church of the 21st century is so tainted with financial or sexual scandals, with an image of disunity, quarreling in the public square of social networks, itself demonstrating that she has no "fear" of God.

We may think there is nothing we can do about it ! Certainly, but at our level, can we not show the image of a living Christianity by being a child of God who honors the Name of his Lord. We are not talking here only of Sunday morning praise, but of an attitude of everyday life that cares about the reputation of God knowing that He will be "judged" through our behavior.

When we testify, we are very often confronted with this kind of reflection : "I would be ready to believe but the attitude of Christians disgusts me" !

So, how do we change things at our level ? There is only one way, and that is love. Besides, without this quality we are just a hollow cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1). God is love (1 John 4.8) and He can only grow in us if we earnestly seek to manifest this fruit. The more the Lord grows in us, the more Jesus will be seen by those around us! And maybe some will say as we have already been told : "That makes you want !".
