    Prophetic announcement !

Genesis 20.7 (Sower's Bible) - Now send this woman back to her husband, for he is a prophet. He will pray for you and you will stay alive. But if you don't give it back to him, know that you and all yours will die.

Abraham is often presented as the ancestor of the faith but not as a prophet. And yet, from the very mouth of God, he was. In fact, he is the first to obtain this "title". You could say he was a prophet because of his intercession for Sodom and Gomorrah, or because Abimelech's household was healed by his prayer, but we have another explanation.

This explanation is taken from his experience on Mount Moriah. Don't you find it very surprising that the Lord God asks for a human sacrifice ? In this very particular request there was all the prefiguration of the sacrifice of the Son of God. Like many prophets, Abraham lived a prophetic proclamation in his own life. He was faced with all the feelings of suffering from the sacrifice that God would make Himself. This prophetic announcement was deeply revealed in these few words : "My son, God will provide Himself the lamb for the holocaust" (Genesis 22.8).

In the face of man's perdition, no human sacrifice is enough ! Whether it is a religious ceremony, a sacrifice of good works, privations... nothing is enough, the only solution was for God to offer Himself as a sacrifice through Jesus Christ and He did it for us, for you and for me.

Beloved, if you want to live in the prophetic, know that your whole life can become "Word of God" ! Do not be surprised by what happens to you. Do not be surprised at the feelings of sadness or joy that go through you. God shares his own heart with you. Through you, He will be able to announce to the world His intentions, His plans and His immeasurable Love.

    Good reflection.
